One of the highlights of the recent Island PTA meeting was the presentation of the Student of the Month award for December 2014. A student from each grade at Francis X. Hegarty and Lincoln Orens Middle Schools is recognized monthly for exhibiting outstanding performance in several areas including cooperation, leadership, community involvement, academic performance, attendance, good behavior, and displaying a positive attitude.
