Island Park Chambers welcome new businesses

The Island Park Chamber of Commerce welcomed three new businesses to the area on Aug. 8. Joined by the Island Park Business and Residential Chamber the first stop was Captain Mike’s Seafood and Lobster at 3388 Long Beach Road, in Oceanside. Owned by Island Park resident Mike Spina they sell fresh seafood, cook food and deliver.

The second stop was LB Wake and Water Sports, where owners Paul Pupa and Rich Rothaar showed the variety of watercraft they have available for rent, and they give lessons.

The third ribbon cutting was held at Bagel Boys Deli at 44965 Austin Boulevard. Owner Basim Kraki offered a variety of salads, cold cuts and of course bagels, made fresh.

Among the dignitaries that attended the ribbon cuttings, Town of Hempstead Supervisor Kate Murray and Town Clerk Nasrin Ahmad, Matt Interligi 1st vice president of the Island Park Business and Residential Chamber, Mark Taglianetti, president of the Island Park Chamber of Commerce, Assemblyman Todd Kaminsky and Nassau County Legislator Denise Ford.
