The Island Park Business and Residential Chamber of Commerce, with the help of Village Mayor Michael McGinty awarded two Island Park students scholarships at the Oct. 8 meeting. The Chamber gave $250 each, the Mayor and his wife Jeanne added $50 each. The winners, Rachel Treglia and Jaylin Umana, were chosen because of their involvement in community activities.
The Chamber, PTA and school faculty all contributed to their selection.
