The Long Beach Fire Department responded to a two-car collision on Dec. 30 at the corners of Pine Street and Long Beach Blvd. The driver in one of the vehicles refused medical attention, said one firefighter with knowledge of the accident, while the driver in the second vehicle, a Jeep Wrangler, was transported to a local hospital. The incident caused the closure of one lane on the northbound side of the Long Beach Bridge until the vehicles were removed. Fire officials were unavailable for comment.
