Supports McGlynn

Posted

To the Editor:

Next Tuesday, Dec. 14, the residents of Oceanside have the opportunity to keep in office a dedicated and talented public servant, my friend Dennis McGlynn, who is running for re-election as fire commissioner.

The service that we received from the Oceanside Fire Department is second to none. However, what makes Dennis so deserving of re-election is the fact that for the past three years, under his leadership, we have received high-quality service with a tax levy that has increased less than one percent. I always encourage people to look at their tax bills, and if you do, you will see that the Oceanside Fire District’s tax levy has remained virtually unchanged from 2009 through 2011. In these trying times, Dennis is well aware of the fact that many of his neighbors just cant afford to pay any more in taxes than we already do.

We can’t afford to lose public servants like Dennis McGlynn whose focus is on the taxpayer, and that’s why I hope you will join me in getting out on Dec. 14 to re-elect Dennis McGlynn.
