Winner’s Walk: Hegarty students raise funds for charity

They walked, jogged, and some even sprinted around the athletic field as Francis X. Hegarty students and teachers joined together in the school’s annual Winner’s Walk. Sponsored by the Student Council, Winner’s Walk is a fun way to raise money for a charity selected by the Student Council. This year’s charitable organization is myFace. Formerly the National Foundation for Facial Reconstruction, myFace transforms the lives of people with facial disfigurement by funding comprehensive care at the Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery at NYU Langone Medical Center in Manhattan. Participants in this year’s Winner’s Walk raised more than $2,200 to benefit myFace.
