“Whatever you got back from FEMA and flood insurance, it would give you, as a grant, the difference,” Schumer said. “So, if you got $20,000 from these other insurance sources, but it cost you $100,000 to redo your home, you’d get $80,000 from the CDBG. That’s very, very good. We’ve provided the federal money, now the state has to put a program together and get the money to you.”
