LBFD fights fire on Pine Street

Posted

The Long Beach Fire Department put out a fire on East Pine Street Friday morning.

At 8:03 a.m., the LBFD was alerted to a house fire on the 100 block of East Pine Street. Upon arrival of first due units, a "working fire" was transmitted. Heavy smoke and fire was observed coming from the home. Firefighters were met with harsh conditions inside due to colliers mansion-like conditions, meaning the dwelling was packed with with possessions, restricting the firefighters' ability to move about the home. The fire was placed under control by 8:46 a.m. The LBFD thanks all of the mutual aid departments who assisted.
