Police search for suspect who demanded money from teller
Long Beach police are investigating a robbery that occurred at TD Bank in Long Beach on Friday afternoon, after a man entered the bank and demanded an undisclosed amount of cash.
The incident happened at noon at the bank, located at 550 Long Beach Blvd. Police said that the suspect, only described as a white male, approached the teller and verbally demanded an undisclosed amount of money, and fled on foot eastbound on Fulton St.
Police said that there were customers inside the bank, but that no one was injured during the incident. Police are currently searching for the suspect, and would not confirm reports that the man had later fled in a taxi, only to say that the Long Beach Police Department's Detective Division is actively investigating with the Nassau County Police Robbery Squad.
