Overcast Leos walk in fight against diabetes

The Long Beach Leos held a Strides Walk for Diabetes on the boardwalk in Long Beach on April 18. The Leos, a 19-member group that is the high school branch of the local Lions Club, were sponsored by Polaris Electric and Mulberry Street and dozens of Long Beach merchants who bought a spot on the Strides T-shirt that the Leos sold. Various merchants donated fruit and water for the walkers and a total of $3,000 was raised to benefit the Diabetes Foundation.
