The Long Beach Fire Department responded to reports of a fire on the fifth floor at 10 Monroe Boulevard at 3 a.m. on Friday. Long Beach Police reported smoke showing from the fifth floor balcony and began evacuating residents from the building. Firefighters arrived, and were able to extinguish the fire. Firefighters were on scene for an hour and a half. No injuries were reported, officials said.
