Vehicle hits scaffolding at six-story Granada Towers building

The Long Beach Fire Department responded to a three-car accident at Riverside Boulevard and Park Avenue on Saturday, after one of the vehicles hit the scaffolding on the side of the six-story Granada Towers apartment building.

The three vehicles were totaled, according to one firefighter at the scene, a fire hydrant was ripped from the ground and the scaffolding was damaged as a result of the collision. The Fire Department assigned two truck companies to inspect and secure loose scaffolding. After the wood planking on the upper floors were secured, the Fire Department released all units from the scene. The Herald will update this story.
