Long Beach man arrested for DWI after slamming into tree

A Long Beach man was arrested for DWI Thursday night after he lost control of his car and struck a tree on the Meadowbrook State Parkway.

On Sept. 29 at 6 p.m., state troopers responded to a report of a one-car accident on the southbound side of the Meadowbrook State Parkway south of Merrick Road. The driver, Paul Levesque, 40, of Long Beach, lost control of his red Toyota and entered the west shoulder before striking a tree.

Levesque was arrested for DWI and traffic violations, and was treated for minor injuries at Nassau University Medical Center.
