Overcast Long Beach Police Department promotes their brass

Five members of the Long Beach Police Deparmtent’s top cops were promoted at ceremonies held at City Hall on Dec. 23 and Jan. 7. In December, sergeant Karl Hayes was promoted to detective sergeant and police officer Jose Miguez was promoted to detective. In January, Lieutenant John Radin was promoted to inspector, Lieutenant Bruce Meyer was promoted to deputy inspector and police officer Dean Burke was promoted to sergeant.
“It is indeed a pleasure to promote these deserving individuals,” said City Manager Charles Theofan. “Combined they have over 100 years of experience. Their fine work, dedication and leadership abilities provide inspiration to the entire Department.”
