Long Beach schools calendar

Board meeting
The Long Beach Board of Education will hold a regular meeting at the middle school at 8 p.m. on Dec. 8.

Science fair
The annual middle school science fair will be held on Nov. 24 at 6:30 p.m. at the gymnasium.

LBHS Financial Aid Night
Parents of high school seniors are invited to attend a financial aid workshop on Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. Financial planning expert Barry Fox will talk about eligibility requirements,FAFSA Forms, CSS Profile and TAP forms.

ESL/dual-language family program

The school district invites all families of students in the English as a Second Language (ESL) and dual-language programs to join the new Bring Your Parents to School Language Immersion Program, starting on Dec 5. For registration information call 897-2027.

Parent-teacher conferences
Elementary conferences will be held on Dec. 3 and 9 from 6 to 9 p.m. and on Dec 4 from 12:30 to 3:15 p.m. Elementary classes will be dismissed on Dec 4 at 1:15 p.m. Blackheath conferences will be held on Dec. 3 from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Dec. 4 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be no school for Pre-K students on Dec 4.

Morning Madness needs you
