Loop Parkway temporarily closed

Expected to open by 6:30 p.m.

The city of Long Beach announced on its Facebook page at around 5 p.m. on Wednesday that the Loop Parkway is currently closed due to an equipment malfunction.

The city was alerted to the closure by Nassau County officials, and said that the New York State Department of Transportation expects the problem to be resolved by 6:30 p.m.
