Power outage blacks out nearly all of Long Beach Tuesday

A city-wide power outage, including all traffic lights, just before 5 p.m. About 8,000 people across Long Beach and the surrounding areas were affected.

PSEG reported an issue with power lines connecting the barrier island to the main grid.

The power came back on just before 6 p.m. It was out for just about an hour.
