Board meeting
The Long Beach Board of Education will hold a regular meeting at the middle school at 8 p.m. on Nov. 10.


Morning Madness needs you

The high school PTSA Morning Madness Committee welcomes new volunteers to help plan its alcohol free post-prom party. Meetings will be held on Nov. 9 at 6 p.m. and Dec. 9 at 7:30 p.m. in Room 257 at the high school. For more information contact Gina Knauer at 432-7449 or Linda Birnbaum at 443-5646.


ESL/dual language family program


The disrict invites all families of children in the English as a Second Language (ESL) and dual-language programs to join the new Bring Your Parents to School Language Immersion program. Registration is on Nov. 7 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Lido Elementary School. There will also be a Family Fun Night for families of ESL students in grades K to 12 on Nov. 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the middle school For information call 897-2027.


High school drama production


The high school theater department will present Neil Simon’s “Laughter on the 23rd Floor” from Nov. 19 to 21 at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium. There will also be a free performance for senior citizens on Nov. 17 at 3:30 p.m. For ticket information, call 897-6500.


Science fair
The annual middle school science fair will be held on Nov. 24 at 6:30 p.m. at the gymnasium.
