Tropical Storm Warnings for Hermine for Nassau County have been cancelled

The National Weather Service [NWS] says that Hermine will make a gradual turn toward the north-northwest and northwest Monday afternoon, and then turn north east again on Tuesday.

NWS says Hermine is 320 miles southeast of Montauk moving north at three miles and hour.

With maximum sustained winds near 70 mph with higher gusts, rough surf and dangerous rip tides will continue. Hermine should remain near hurricane strength through Monday night and gradually weaken by Tuesday morning.

The NWS forecast calls for a sunny but breezy day.
