Arrests
On Aug. 31 at 6:35 p.m., a 24-yearold man, of Inwood was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance (heroin) and criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument on Denton Avenue in Lynbrook.
On Aug. 31 at 6:35 p.m., a 42-year-old woman, of Woodbury was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance (heroin) and criminal possession of a controlled substance (suboxone) on Denton Avenue in Lynbrook.
A 33-year-old man of Valley Stream was arrested Aug. 31 at 8:35 p.m. and charged with criminal possession of marijuana on Saperstein Plaza in Lynbrook.
On Sept. 1 at 2:25 p.m., a 16-year-old from East Rockaway was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana on Windsor Place.
On Sept. 1 at 7:55 p.m, a 20-year-old man, of East Rockaway was arrested and charged with criminal possession of marijuana and failed to yield the right of way on Merrick Road. The defendant was also charged with an open warrant from the Village of Hewlett Bay Park for failure to stop at a stop sign and failed to obey a traffic control device.
On Sept. 2, at 9:50 p.m., a 23-year-old, of Oceanside was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana on Sunrise Hwy.
A 26-year-old man, of Hewlett was arrested on Sept. 5 at 1 p.m. and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, suspended registration, speeding, uninsured motor vehicle, unregistered motor vehicle and failure to produce license on Peninsula Blvd.
Burglary
At 12:03 a.m. on Sept. 4, a complainant reported that someone broke the garage and door window at BRC Service Station, located at 257 Merrick Rd, and entered the building. The unknown person(s) took the cash register, valued at $200, which contained $60 in assorted currency and an unknown amount of cigarette cartons. The total amount of the loss and damage is $760.
Petit larceny
At 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 6, it was reported that someone stole an Apple iPhone 5S from the front counter of Not Just Bagels, located at 101 Broadway in Lynbrook. The phone is valued at $300.
