An Irish Dream
Irish soprano Emma-Kate Tobia brings her show “An Irish Dream” to Long Beach this weekend, accompanied by pianist Pat White. The classically trained singer shares her love for Irish song as she performs the timeless melodies of her heritage. The concert features songs from her U.S. Debut CD 'Aisling na nGael” (An Irish Dream). She also sings such favorites as Danny Boy and Kerry Dances.

Irish Festival
Get into the spirit of St. Patrick's Day at Hofstra University’s 12th annual salute to all things Irish. You don’t have to be from the Old Country to join the hooley and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in true Irish style! Enjoy music and dance performances throughout the day, along with craft exhibits and sample Irish cuisine. This year’s festival feature Celtic Cross, a seven member pop-folk Irish band; Girsa, an eight member all-female traditional band; Michael O'Rourke and the Black Velvet Band; along with the popular Hirten Family Irish Dancers, and others.
Sunday, March 14, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. $5 admission. Hofstra University, Physical Fitness Center, North Campus, Hempstead. (516) 463-6582.
