Crime Watch: East Rockaway, Lynbrook

Arrests
On May 2 at 12:10 a.m., a 35-year-ols Lynbrook man was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance (2 counts) and petit larceny on Union Avenue.
On May 3 at 9:03 p.m., a 22-year-old Woodmere man was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana on Broadway in Lynbrook.
At 11:27 p.m. on May 3, A 55-year-old Rosedale man was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, aggravated unlicensed operation (warrant) and failure to signal on Ocean Avenue.
On May 4 at 2:10 a.m., a 26-year-old Merrick man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated, aggravated unlicensed operation (3 counts) and circumvention of interlock device on Franklin Avenue.

At 6:15 p.m. on May 6, a 42-year-old Franklin Square man was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a weapon on Ocean Avenue in Lynbrook.
A 42-year-old Westhampton Beach man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated on Peninsula Boulevard on May 6 at 8:22 p.m.
On May 7 at 2:48 a.m., a 28-year-old Jamaica woman was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child (2 counts) at the Capri Motor Inn located at 5 Freer St. The defendant left her 2-year-old daughter and 11-month-old son in their car while inside the motel with the father of the children.
At 2:48 a.m. on May 7, s 30-year-old Springfield Gardens man was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child (2 counts) at the Capri Motor Inn located at 5 Freer St. The defendant left his 2-year-old daughter and 11-month-old son in their car while inside the motel with the mother of the children.

Criminal mischief
On April 25 between 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., an unknown person(s) broke the side view mirror on a vehicle while it was parked on Althouse Avenue in East Rockaway.
 At 11:05 p.m. on April 28, a group of five people caused damage to the fence of a residence located on Willard Ave in East Rockaway.

Petit larceny
At 6:50p.m. on May 1, an unknown person(s) took a white iPhone from the Lynbrook High School cafeteria. The value of the phone is $500.

Identity theft
At 8:15 a.m. on May 2, an unknown person(s) made four unauthorized charges on their Ridgewood Bank debit card. The charges total $608.

Stalking
At 2:50 p.m. on May 4, a complainant reported that an acquaintance had been calling, texting and arriving at their residence after being asked to stop. The subject’s actions have put the complainant in fear of their safety.
