Arrest for rape, 2nd degree

Saul R. Reyes, 26, of Lynbrook was arrested on Dec. 22 at 12:43 and charged with Rape in the second degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. The victim was 13-years-old according to the Nassau County Police Department.

Crime briefs

On Jan. 5 at 1:32 a.m., a 30-year-old  Hempstead was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation and an equipment violation for no tail lamp on Sunrise Highway.
A 52-year-old Laurelton man was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct on Merrick Road at 10:55 a.m. on Jan. 5.
On Jan. 7 at 9:03 a.m., a 39-year-old Lynbrook man was arrested and charged with menacing on Merrick Road. The victim was a 39-year-old female.
A 26-year-old St. Albans person was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, unregistered motor vehicle, improper registration plates, no insurance and no New York State inspection on Ocean Avenue at 1:26 a.m. on Jan. 9.

Criminal michchief
On Jan. 2 at 12:05 a.m., an unknown person(s) did $500 worth of damage to the car door and rear fender of a 2006 Ford park on Denton Avenue.

Petit Larceny
A Sony DVD Home Theatre System valued at $329.98 was removed from a front door on Evergreen Avenue at 2:10 p.m. on Jan. 5.
On Jan. 7 at 7:30 p.m., an unknown person(s) removed prescription mediation from a residence on Broadway.

Identity theft, grand larceny
At 5:45 p.m. on Jan. 5 an unknown person(s) opened an account with “Bill Me Later” in the complainant’s name and charged $3,264.46 worth of airline tickets from Delta Airlines.
