Haiti Relief Fund sends supplies from Lynbrook headquarters

Special delivery sent to needy in earthquake-devastated country

The Haiti Relief Fund Inc., headquartered in Lynbrook, has distributed another 40 ft. container of relief goods collected from New York to approximately 3,000 earthquake victims in Haiti.
“We want to send a very special thank you to Haiti Relief Fund’s staff of volunteers and security, the Haiti Police Department and the governments of Dominican Republic and Haiti for helping to make our distribution a success,” said Haiti Relief Fund co-founder Carlo Thertus.
Goods and Monetary donations are still being collected at Creative Art Space for Kids located at 48-D Atlantic Avenue in Lynbrook. Some things that are needed include: 

  • Tents, Tarps, Cots & Food 
  •  Medical supplies such as bandages, alcohol, peroxide, iodine, tylenol, arm/leg braces, slings, crutches, wheelchairs, 
  • Water and non-perishable food items. 
  • Diapers, formula, infant rice cereal, baby clothes, wipes, bottles, soft clean toys.
  • Cots, tents, sleeping pads, tarps, flashlights, camping gear.
  • Generators and building supplies. 
  • Clean, gently used clothing & shoes.
  • Items for care packages are also welcome, things like: toothbrush/paste, baby wipes, soap, hand sanitizer, deodorant, maxi pads, small packages of aspirins, facial tissues, etc.
  • Monetary Donations  

Haiti Relief Fund will be collecting goods and donations on an ongoing basis. HRF is also looking for volunteers who want to help in the preparation of goods donations and those who can assist picking up donations.
