Triple Crown hopeful I'll Have Another will break from post 11 in this Saturday's 144th running of the Belmont Stakes, which has a scheduled post time of 6:40 p.m.

The Doug O'Neill-trained chestnut colt, who has never been favored in seven career starts, is listed as the 4-5 morning-line favorite in the field of 12. I'll Have Another is looking to become the first Triple Crown winner since Affirmed in 1978.

Dullahan, the show horse in the Kentucky Derby, is the second choice at 5-1 and will break from post 5. Union Rags, out of post 3, is 6-1, and Paynter, out of post 9, is 8-1.

"It's been an unbelievable ride, and I think we've just stayed focused on the whole journey because of the great I'll Have Another," O'Neill said at Wednesday's post position draw. "He's doing great. He's continued to gallop good, his energy's been good, his appetite's been strong, and he's handled this whole journey as good as you could possibly ask a horse. He hasn't lost a bit of his flesh at all, his coat continues to shine and look great, so we couldn't ask for him to be coming in to this any better."

Post position 11 has produced only two Belmont winners - Sarava, whose victory at 70-1 came at the expense of Triple Crown hopeful War Emblem in 2002, and Conquistador Cielo, who was the first of trainer Woody Stephens' five straight Belmont winners in 1982. In the Kentucky Derby, I'll Have Another became the first horse to win the Run for the Roses from post 19 at Churchill Downs, and in the Preakness he left from post position 9.

"Being in the 11th hole, we're able to kind of see how the pace sets up," O'Neill added. "If they're crawling, we'll hopefully be leading the crawl, and if they're flying, we'll be sitting in behind the horses flying.

"Mario [Gutierrez] is just such a confident rider and he's so confident in I'll Have
Another. They get along so well, so we're in good shape."
