Supports Kopel for re-election

To the Editor:
I have lived in Bay Park since 1996, and I voted to make Howard Kopel my legislator two years ago. I made a great choice then, and I plan on voting for him again. The reason I voted for Kopel is because he kept his promises.
Kopel eliminated Jeff Toback’s 2.5 percent home energy tax on all forms of heat and electricity. He’s cut spending and turned Nassau’s multi-million dollar deficit into a surplus. Most important, Kopel understands the problems the Bay Park and East Rockaway communities face, being home to the Bay Park Sewage Treatment Plant. The improvements he’s made to the infrastructure and odor controls were the largest investment made at the plant in years — that’s the real fiscal management we need.
Kopel is often present at community events and Town Hall meetings, speaking to residents. Since the day he became our Legislator, he has done everything to prove how much he cares about us. I urge all my neighbors to join me in supporting this community advocate for re-election. Kopel has proven that he gets the job done for our community.
