Lynbrook boys soccer team takes honors

The Lynbrook Varsity Boys Soccer Team was awarded a number of special honors for talent and sportsmanship at the Nassau County Boys Soccer Coaches Association Annual Awards Dinner at the Marriott Hotel in Uniondale on Dec. 7.

Senior Angelo Messina was selected to the All-County Team and was also selected as the Conference 6 Player of the Year. Sophomore Damian Andreani was selected to the All County Honorable Mention Team. Five athletes were selected to the All Conference Team. They include seniors Richard Bellusci, James Kirby, Gonzalo Andreani and Andrew Marks (also selected in 2009), and junior Michael Milillo.

In addition, senior Marks received the Senior Scholar Athlete Award. Coach Josh Berlin was selected as the Conference 6 Coach of the Year.

The Lynbrook High School Boys Soccer Program was also selected to receive the Nassau County Soccer Officials Association Award for Outstanding Sportsmanship.
