On May 17, the Lynbrook Fire Department held its annual installation dinner at the Chateau Briand in Westbury, honoring outgoing Chief Michael Hynes of Engine Company No. 1.The LFD’s new fire chiefs and compnay officers were sworn into office by Mayor Bill Hendrick at the event.
Also receiving an award at the dinner was Ex-Chief Kevin Michaud, who was given the title of honorary commissioner for his 50 years of service.
Ex-Chief and Nassau County Commissioner Robert Cribbin was named Lynbrook’s Firefighter of the Year.
