Lynbrook Fire Department Ex-chief DeCarlo honored with sign

Ex-Chief and Honorary Commissioner Dominic DeCarlo Jr., who died in January, was honored by the Village of Lynbrook and the members of Tally-Ho Engine Company 3 of the Lynbrook Fire Department, where Dominic served as a volunteer for 65 years.
In his honor, Horton Avenue where the Tally-Ho firehouse is located in Lynbrook, was renamed “DeCarlo’s Way.”
The members of Tally-Ho were joined by Lynbrook’s Mayor William Hendrick, the Village Board, and DeCarlo’s family and friends, as First Assistant Chief Anthony DeCarlo (Dominic’s nephew) unveiled the new street sign opposite the firehouse.
