Lynbrook Little League takes L.I. championship

Lynbrook Little Leagues 10 year old Williamsport All-Stars won the Long Island District 30 championship last week, beating the Oceanside Americans, 7-2. The 10 year old all-stars won the district finals with an overall record of 4-1 in the double elimination district tournament.
It's the first time in the 55 years of Lynbrook Little League that the 10-year-old division has won the district championship.
In the first round of the single elimination sectionals (The NYS Little League Section 5 New York Metro) on Sunday night at Greis Park, The Lynbrook All-Stars Lynbrook defeated Brooklyn’s Spring Creek, 13–0. The sectional winners will continue on to the state championships.
