Lynbrook named one of the best school districts in New York

The Lynbrook Union Free School District was recently named one of the top 100 districts in New York State, placing 60th overall on a list that was compiled by Niche.com.

“We are pleased that our district was ranked among the best districts in New York State,” said Melissa Burak, superintendent of Lynbrook schools, in a statement. “It is a testament to the hard work put forth by our students, teachers, staff and administrators, as well as the continued support provided by the Lynbrook community.”

Niche.com, formerly known as College Prowler, is a ranking and review website that is headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pa. Each year, the site rolls out its top 100 schools in the state and country.

In order to determine its rankings, Niche analyzed academic and student life data from the U.S. Department of Education along with college data, test scores and ratings collected from millions of the site’s users.
