Lynbrook firefighter and Tumbler Co-captain Chris Kelly hit the target in the hose event at a joint Fire Department battalion tournament on Aug. 15. The competition was sponsored by the Long Beach Fire Department and held at the Baldwin Fire Department's arch on Atlantic Avenue.

The Lynbrook Fire Department’s Tumblers Tournament Team set four new team records and went on to finish in second place in the Fourth Battalion and second place overall in a joint Second, Third, and Fourth Battalion Tournament sponsored by the Long Beach Fire Department held on August 15 at the Baldwin Fire Department’s arch on Atlantic Avenue.
Lynbrook set records in Running Ladder, Running Hose Replacement, Two into One, and Buckets. The order of finish in the Fourth Battalion was Rockville Centre Woodlanders, Lynbrook Tumblers, Malverne Chipmunks, East Rockaway Cold Ducks, and the Lakeview Sparks.
