Making beautiful music at All-County festival

Record 94 Lynbrook students qualify for All-County

A record total of 94 Lynbrook Public School students in grades four through 12 qualified to perform in the New York State School Music Association’s All-County Festival on the weekends of January 7 and 14. They will join a select group of musicians from all over Nassau County for a gala concert series at the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts, featuring select chorus, orchestra, band and jazz band performances. Hundreds of students auditioned for this honor at the NYSSMA Solo Evaluation Festivals held last spring.


Representing Lynbrook High School will be Benjamin Barnett, Evan Biegel, Toniann Butler, Chelsea Campanile, Maria Ciaccio, Alexei Candreva, James Colin, Zachary Daniels, Zoe Daniels, Matthew DeMichiel, Aidan Dunn, Daniel Gomm, Matthew Gomm, Michael Gribbin, Emma Harrington, Lyndsey Hochler, Kasey Keller, Griffin Kreit, Natasha Lubczenko, Tyler McGinness, Matthew Paris, Isaac Polinsky, Melissa Schepers, Kevin Simon, Josh Tierney, David Towson, Michael Towson and Zachary Zaromatidis.


Kyle Bergin, Jonathan Cuevas, Elaine Chen, Anthony Gaetani, John Hunter, Marc Levine, Anthony Longo, Ryan Mueller and Serena Sundeberg were selected to represent Lynbrook North Middle School. Lynbrook South Middle School will be sending Michael Deegan, Leah Elefante, Hailey Greif, Mackenzie Kreit, Mikayla Layng, Koby Lazar, Zachary Leder, Georgia Krendel, John Krendel, Andrew Marrandino, Daniel Marzari, Gabriel Polinsky, Gia Rossi, Lauren Ryan, Samantha Sklar and Paul Traumiller.


Marion Street students Kai Beatty, Elise Candreva, Spencer Chrein, Joseph DeMonte, Benjamin Gagliardo, Michael Gaynor, Maxwell Hastings, Caitlyn Hering, Nicholas Kajtazi, James Luongo, Cariann Mackie, Kalina McNulty, Angelina Medina, Christian Sarlo and Jason Sitt will be performing at the festival. Representing Waverly Park School will be Alyssa Burton, Sam Cohen, Jeremy Flyer, Leo Glassman, Jared Harwin, Kaylie Hausknecht, Jason Holquist, Griffin Kirby, Pooja Shah, Harrision Simon and Julia Tucker. West End School will be represented by Nashley Alvarez, Samantha Barbato, Brooke Beck, Rylan Blondo, Juliana Condoleo, Katie D’Agostino, Elizabeth Hanson, Emily Heinrich, Lillian Mata, Lydia Merkle, Danny Neri, Jillian Padilla, Amanda Palazzo, Veronica Rich and Christina Woodard.


“We are extremely proud that so many of our dedicated young musicians once again qualified for this great honor,” said Director of Fine and Performing Arts Joseph Pallotta. “It is a great opportunity for them to collaborate with other young musicians in a professional concert venue.”
