Assemblyman Brian Curran’s second annual 5K is scheduled for May 7 at 9 a.m. The event will raise money for local Veterans for Foreign Wars and American Legion posts. The race will begin and end at Hewlett Point Beach, 130 Hewlett Point Avenue in Bay Park. The registration fee is $25 for those who register to run/walk prior to race day, $35 for those who register on the day of the race and $15 for participants who are 14-years-old and under.
