Posted

The 5th Annual Fly with the Owls 4-Mile Run/Walk is set for Sunday, December 6.

The 4-Mile Run/Walk starts at 8:30 a.m. at North Middle School in Lynbrook. The money raised from this event will be used to assist a variety of youth activities in the Village of Lynbrook including the Lynbrook Junior Fire Department and Ambulance, Character Counts Committee, Middle School Triathlon Mentoring Program, programs in the Lynbrook School District and other youth serving organizations.

Many streets in the vicinity of the West End and North Middle Schools and the Lynbrook Westwood area will be closed to vehicular traffic that day from 8:15 a.m. until approximately 10:15 a.m. To ensure the safety of the participants. If you plan to use your motor vehicle during these hours, please plan ahead and, if possible, position your vehicle outside the race route.

Please note that the streets on the west side of the race course will be the first to reopen. If you need to exit the area, please plan to do so by traveling westbound.

“Your cooperation is greatly appreciated and we apologize for any inconvenience,” said Director Cathy Papandrew. “Please come out and cheer the runners and walkers on!”
