East Rockaway BOE to release a residents' survey

Posted

In an effort to gauge what community members value in their schools, the East Rockaway Board of Education will release a baseline survey that will gauge parent and community satisfaction as it relates to academics, athletics, extra-curricular activities, budget, and technology, as well as parent/community participation in the district’s schools.

“The survey for this goal has been developed through a partnership with St. John’s University,” said School Superintendent Roseanne Melucci. “We expect to launch the survey during the first week in April.”

Melucci said that she hopes any community member will take the survey “even if you don’t have a child in the school system.” It will be anonymous, with just a few demographic questions, and one per household is requested.
