East Rockaway Jr./Sr. High School psychologist Dr. Rosina Pzena received tenure at the Sept. 19 board of education meeting.
Pzena was joined by family and faculty members for the ceremony and was introduced by Executive Director of Pupil Personnel Services and Instructional Personnel Vincent Healy.
Healy remarked that Pzena is someone that students know they can turn to. “She allows them to see things from a new perspective and achieve what they would never believe is possible,” said Healy. “Dr. Pzena is a skilled crisis management specialist, an empathic listener and a believer that building relationships with families is critical to the process of helping students thrive.”
