Valley Stream high school building tour Saturday

Valley Stream residents are invited to join the Central High School District Board of Education to tour the district’s four school buildings on Saturday, Jan. 8. The annual buildings tour, to view completed capital projects and those proposed for the 2011-12 budget, will begin at North High School with coffee at 8:15 a.m.

North’s tour will start at 8:30 a.m., then continue on to South High School at 9:35 a.m., Central High School at 10:35 a.m. and Memorial Junior High School at 11:30 a.m. Visitors may visit one or all of the schools.

There will be a special meeting of the Board of Education at 1 p.m. in the board room to review the capital projects and the 2011-12 preliminary budget considerations.
