Former Jets player visits Malverne High School

Malverne High School’s varsity and junior-varsity football teams were visited by former professional football player Stephen Bowen from the New York Jets last month.

A Long Island native, Bowen shared the importance of good decision-making skills, what it takes to get to the NFL, and his journey in the sport. The experience was afforded to the Malverne student-athletes because of a mutual acquaintance of coach Kito Lockwood and the former defensive end.

Players had the opportunity to win prizes from the NFL and ask questions.
