Overcast Brooklyn woman charged with stealing drugs from Malverne pharmacy

Nassau County Police arrested a Brooklyn woman on Nov. 19 after stealing prescription drugs from a Malverne pharmacy.
On Aug. 27, according to detectives, Shivashti Mahabir, 45, of 1196 E. 46th Street, stole 100 Oxycodone pills from Nordon Drugs, 247 Hempstead Avenue in Malverne, while working for Reverse Distributors Inc.
Mahabir was arrested at her home at 1:05 p.m. last Tuesday without incident and charged with drug possession and petit larceny. She was arraigned on Nov. 20 at First District Court in Hempstead.
