Second-graders from Our Lady of Lourdes school received a visit from two dogs, Cooper and Dino, as part of the Town of Hemptead Animal Shelter’s Humane Education Program. The students learned how to keep pets healthy and safe. They were also able to ask questions and interact with the dogs.

Before they left, Cooper and Dino were presented with a donated basket of treats and toys for themselves and other dogs and cats at the shelter.
