Kids throughout the country started their first day of school last week and who knew they’d be excited about it?
In Malverne, the children were all smiles, whether returning to school or going for the first time.
At the Maurice W. Downing Elementary School in Malverne, emotions ran particularly high for the new class of kindergarteners, their parents and the school faculty members. Following a reorganization of the elementary school structure, Downing is now a primary school and the Davison Avenue Elementary School is an intermediatery school for third and fourth graders.
