In honor of National Fire Safety Week, kindergarten students at the Maurice W. Downing Primary School in Malverne took a walking trip to the Malverne Fire Department to learn about fire safety. Students were urged to only help their parents check smoke detectors and rehearsed stop, drop and roll tactics with the professionals.
