Malverne School District celebrates Black History Month with students' performances

The Malverne school district held its annual Black History Month celebration Feb. 8 in the Malverne Performing Arts Center of the high school. The event featured a celebration of African American resilience with student performances. April Francis-Taylor, director of diversity, equity, and inclusivity for Eastern Suffolk Board of Cooperative Educational Services, was the guest speaker.
