Elissa L. Stallkamp, of Malverne, was charged with assaulting a police officer who had searched her at the Malverne Police Department after her arrest for violating a Family Court order.

Malverne police said Stallkamp, 36, was arrested at her Horton Avenue home after she was found intoxicated, violating a previous Family Court order.

Stallkamp was taken to Malverne police headquarters, where a female Nassau County officer searched her prior to taking her to court, which is a common occurrence, police said.

During the search, according to reports, Stallkamp punched the unidentified female officer numerous times in the face, inflicting several injuries.

The officer was then taken to a local hospital, where she was treated and released.

Stallkamp was arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Jan. 7 and charged with assault, obstructing governmental administration and criminal contempt.
