New president for Malverne Civic Association

Suzanne Kraemer-Parra is “humbled” to have been chosen to head the Malverne Civic Association as its new president. Having joined three years ago as a volunteer, she has “watched the organization flourish.”

“[I] am proud to be part of a group that truly cares about the community and fosters cross relationships between all institutions within Malverne,” Kraemer-Parra told the Herald. In her new role as president, she plans to continue the growth her predecessor, Peter Robideau, began, including the annual wine tasting, fall festival and recycling functions.

“I look forward to continuing these traditions along with other events which will benefit the community,” Kraemer-Parra said. “Volunteers are the backbone of this association. Without their continued support and generosity of time, this undertaking would be an impossibility. There are no words to express the extent to which they are valued.”

Robideau, who has been on the civic’s board for the last four years, said he decided to dedicate more time to his personal work and could not continue his post as president, but is glad to have found a capable replacement. “I couldn’t be happier that Suzanne deduced to lead the group as the new president,” he said.
