Two Mepham High School seniors headed for college ball
Scott Brinton/Herald
Mepham High School senior Joseph Alberti, front, second from left, will play football at the C.W. Post campus of Long Island University next fall. He is pictured here with his parents, front row, Diane and Antonio, and sister, Nicole, a Mepham sophomore, and back row, from left, Mepham Assisstant Principal Jennifer Carne, football coach Anthony Cracco, Athletic Director Mike Muscara and Principal Michael Harrington.

Two Mepham High School seniors recently signed their letters of intent to play college sports at the C.W. Post campus of Long Island University, which has a Division II athletics program. They are 18-year-old Nicole Stackpole, who is a star on the Mepham girls’ lacrosse team and who was recruited to play attack for Post, and 17-year-old Joseph Aliberti, a member of the Mepham football team who was recruited for Post’s offensive line.
