A whale of a good time at the Merrick Library

Posted

Representatives of the Cold Spring Harbor Whaling Museum recently made their way to the Merrick Library to teach children about the wondrous world of whales, and brought along artifacts such as real whale bones and an Inuit snow knife carved from a walrus tusk.

The children also made their own wintry whale arts and crafts, including a snow globe, to take home as souvenirs.
