On June 7, the Merrick Chamber of Commerce presented five outstanding students from the Central High School District with $1,000 scholarships toward their higher education.
From Calhoun High School, Braden Flax and Anargiros, from Kennedy High School, Jack Jones, and from Mepham High School, Timothy Karp and Aida Mussalam were awarded with scholarships.
