Dave Mason And The Yardbirds
The British Invasion returns when rock legend Dave Mason visit NYCB Theatre at Westbury for an evening of classic rock ‘n roll. Dave Mason – the English musician, singer, songwriter and guitarist – has come along way since his days with the rock band Traffic. He still takes great pleasure in performing during a career that spans over 37 years. Mason is joined by The Yardbirds, featuring original members drummer Jim McCarty and rhythm guitarist/bassist Chris Dreja, for this night of great tunes. Relive their many hits, including “For Your Love,” “Heart Full of Soul,” “I’m a Man,” and “Shapes of Things.”

Family Fun

Medieval Festival
Take the family on a journey back to the days of 14th century royal revelry at the colorful festival on the grounds of the former Gold Coast estates at Sands Point Preserve, Castlegould and Hempstead House. The popular event features knights in shining armor, medieval archers and kings and queens. The day begins with a procession of the Royal Court to the viewing stand, where knights battle for entertainment of the king and queen. Knights on horseback thrill the crowds with jousting behind Hempstead House, along with period entertainment, and more fun and games throughout the day.

9/11 Tribute

United Choral Society
The United Choral Society, under direction of conductor Sharon Pesenti, presents a majestic performance in tribute to the 10th anniversary of the tragic events that mark Sept. 11, 2001. As everyone remembers that events of that historic day, the musical selections presented by the choir will instill pride and gratitude in the audience’s hearts. The performance continues the Choral Society’s tradition of benefiting the community by lifting spirits through music and song.
